Emily Won

Intern Emily Won contributes to several projects with a focus on policy and career education, as well as assisting the team by providing student insights and contributions. Her work includes supporting work-based learning initiatives, researching social capital growth for students, advising on the Illinois Success Network’s Student Advisory Council, and working with XQ Institute on their youth engagement toolkit.

Emily is an advocate for educational equity and youth policy engagement. She currently serves as the president of the Illinois Career and Technical Student Organizations Board, where she works with the Illinois State Board of Education to advance career education awareness and equity. She also serves as the president of Illinois Science Olympiad, where she works with Science Olympiad students to cultivate the next generation of leaders in STEM.

Emily is a senior at Barrington High School D220 and plans to major in public policy for her postsecondary studies.
