Community College Competency-Based Education Spring Webinar

The Illinois Community College Board and EdSystems hosted a webinar on competency-based education on March 28, 2022. Participants heard from Lewis and Clark Community College about their new CBE Welding program, Equity Collaboratory participants Parkland College and Rend Lake College, and the regional essential skills program Greater Peoria Essential Abilities and Knowledge (GPEAK), which provides certification through badging for mastery of an essential workforce skill. We also discussed the current regulatory context in Illinois.
