Laura Monteagudo

Pathways Manager Laura Monteagudo supports communities across Illinois through the Scaling Transformative Advanced Manufacturing Pathways (STAMP) and Community College Pathway Equity and Currency projects, as well as statewide initiatives to support alignment with the Model Programs of Study Guides.

With a background in college admissions, Laura has worked with many first-generation and low-income college students as they navigate the transition from high school to college. Through this work, Laura developed a passion for racial equity and helping students overcome barriers. She first joined Education Systems Center as the policy manager, and her transition to the pathways team builds on that knowledge and experience while deepening her direct work with communities across Illinois.

Laura holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and a Master of Public Administration from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
