Jessica Hayes
As the CTE Manager, Jessica Hayes leads efforts with our state agency partners and local communities to better connect Career and Technical Education (CTE) efforts and work-based learning. She’ll lead the development, implementation, and scaling of high-quality CTE policies and practices across Illinois to help create stronger opportunities and more seamless pathways for students as they move from high school to college and into their careers.
Jessica has dedicated her career to creating meaningful career-connected learning opportunities for students. As the Work-Based Learning Coordinator for Rockford Public Schools 205, Jessica developed and strengthened partnerships with educators, employers, and community organizations to expand hands-on learning experiences and career pathways. Before transitioning into education, Jessica worked in business-to-business sales and marketing with UPS Supply Chain Solutions and Manpower, where she developed an expertise in building relationships, understanding employer needs, and creating strategic partnerships. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Iowa.
