Do you look at something and wonder how it’s made? Do you enjoy figuring out the best way to solve a problem? Do you want to make a difference in the world? Then engineering may be the career path for you!
Engineering spans a multitude of fields and touches millions of lives around the world every day. On February 16, 2026, Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. (GHA) will host its annual Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IGED) and we would love for you to join us! You received this letter because someone knows you have what it takes to be an engineer. We would like to invite you to spend the day exploring a future in engineering and show you a glimpse of the possibilities. Everything starts with engineering: the road on which you drive, the water you drink, the phone you use, the clothes you wear, even the food you eat! Everything passed through an engineer’s hands before it made it to yours. Engineering is not sitting behind a computer solving math problems all day. It’s active, it’s exciting, and it’s everywhere! You will get to flex your creative muscles when designing, showcase your social skills while working in teams, consider business and economic perspectives, and, most importantly, impact the lives of people every day.
Your activities at IGED will include: • Attending the event at the GHA office on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm • Meeting female engineers who will provide insight into what it means and what it takes to be an engineer • Getting answers to your college questions and learn about internship opportunities • Participating in hands-on, engineering related activities and demonstrations • Enjoying lunch with other girls just like you If you’re interested in joining us for GHA’s inaugural IGED, please RSVP by February 9, 2026.
