The 60 by 25 Network was established in 2013 to respond to a need for a community-level approach to Pathways implementation that was aligned to the implementation of the new Learning Standards and high school to college transition activities. The Network provides a community of practice and a mechanism for delivering technical assistance and aligned funding to communities across the state. EdSystems Role: The Network is guided by a coalition from Advance Illinois, the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, and EdSystems.
EdSystems has been crucial in three successful community oriented conferences, and will co-host a fourth Network community conference in early 2017. We are also the lead organization on the development and implementation of the Illinois 60 by 25 Leadership Community designation; 7 communities have been designated thus far, and receive technical assistance and funding that we secured from various public and private sources. We have also developed and launched a Cradle to Career Dashboard for these communities, which supports their analysis of regional education and workforce system performance.
